"MAY THERE BE KINDNESS IN YOUR GAZE WHEN YOU LOOK WITHIN"

Dec 24, 2023

This line from John O’Donohue’s poem ‘For Belonging’ can perhaps be an inspiration for us all, for Christmas and for the year to come.
Yesterday, the poem was read at the end of this year's online Teacher Training in Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living. It was a wonderful two-month journey with participants from diverse professional backgrounds, and a truly international adventure, bringing together people from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, England-Luxembourg, Poland-Spain. The modest groupsize proved ideal for a deep, intimate process of learning together. There was much appreciation of each other’s courage to be vulnerable, honoring our shared humanity and interconnectedness with the world around.
Cultivating compassion, in whatever modest way, is about planting seeds to take better care of ourselves, each other and the world at large, growing our capacity to heal individually and collectively. It begins with our willingness to look within, with kindness in our gaze. And it grows into a wider sense of belonging to a world we are all part of.

👉 MBCL has been recognised by eamba European Associations for Mindfulness as a first follow-on Mindfulness-Based Program, building on MBSR, MBCT or equivalent programs.
Online English-spoken MBCL TT’s are alternately organised by the Institute for Mindfulness-Based Approaches and The Mindfulness Network. See our websites, for these and other MBCL events to come.

With gratitude for all inspiring meetings in 2023 and warm Christmas greetings 💚🧡💛💙
